Anaesthesia: General
Timing of surgery:
Surgery is considered after the normal breast is fully developed which could be after 18-20 years of age..
Surgical options and the procedure:
Depending upon the available tissue, size of the normal side, you may be considered for Breast implant alone or Tissue expansion followed by breast implant. In case your chest wall muscle is absent, as is seen in Poland syndrome you may require an additional procedure of flap cover (generally muscle from the back) to be rotated, under which an implant can be placed. An additional procedure such as breast lift (if drooping) may be required for the normal breast to attain match to the opposite side.
Duration of Surgery: 1-2 hours each surgery

Results and Recovery:
It is one of the most gratifying surgery for the patient. Though it is not always possible to give 100% symmetry, but overall results are very satisfying.
